Hot stamping foils: Kurz launches new designs - Premium Beauty News

In the traditional process for manufacturing a stamping foil with a diffractive continuous design, a small holographic pattern is duplicated multiple times and combined into a large-area design. This results in so-called "recombination seams". Hence, the new "Light Line" is manufactured without recombination lines. This manufacturing technique opens the door to a wide variety of possibilities.

While the design was so far limited to closely repeating patterns, now large, discontinuity-free single-image designs can be produced. It is also possible to combine diverse design elements and with no spatial restrictions. These large-area designs enable impressive effects to be achieved, as the new large-format SB Lightwave and SB Liquid designs clearly show.

Hence SB Aquadrops shows casually arranged water droplets with a "lens" effect of various sizes and shapes. The particularity of this new design lies in the fact that droplets refract the light in various directions. Lens is particularly attractive thus exhibiting amazingly varied plays of colours and movements.

In fact, Kurz employs modern technology equipment for manufacturing lens effects with a very distinctive depth effect. This is the case with SB Aquadrops but also with Diffractive Lens that takes printing to a completely new dimension, where depth and holographic colour plays mingle with clear marked contours. The lens can vary in size and shape.
