UV Graphic Technologies will showcase a new 8-color full servo, automated flexo press UltraFlex UFO at Labelexpo India 2018.
The machine on the show floor will be seen equipped with corona treater, double side web cleaners, soft tension control for films, auto register, 100 percent defect detection system, chill drums, hot foil, cold foil, peel and seal, and a hybrid drying system capable of conventional UV, UV LED, hot air and IR.
Abhay Datta, director at UV Graphic Technologies, said: ‘We will run live demos of the press at the show where we will demonstrate how a conventional UV System on UltraFlex could be swapped with a UV LED system in under one minute. The press will run with a twin servo for each print station and printing features will include near 100 percent register on job start-up to achieve full register with under three meters waste.’
The press will print on multiple substrates including 12-micron BOPP film, shrink sleeves, polyester film, in-mold labels and pressure-sensitive material with movable in-line hot foil stamping.
‘The compact 370mm wide UltraFlex UFO with a short web path will occupy only eight meters of floor space and is designed for a clean room environment,’ said Datta.
To facilitate these demonstrations, UV Graphics has tied up with supply chain partner such as Kurz, UEI Falcontech, Uflex, Flint, Manish Packaging, AVT, 3M, Avery Denison, Lartec, Creative Graphics and Schmid Rhyner AG.
Besides the flexo press, UV Graphic will also display its video plate mounter, claimed as the fastest plate mounter in the industry capable of mounting flexo plates in under 30 seconds with micro register and pre-register capabilities. ‘The latest plate mounter incorporates a lateral register system which totally eliminates the need of lateral register on a modern flexo press,’ explained Datta. The company has already sold over 300 plate mounters in a span of three years.
Other exhibits will include a high speed turret slitter rewinder for labels, LED and conventional UV systems for OEM and for retrofit, cylinder and tool storage system, off-line rotary hot foil stamping press with foil saver, core cutting machine, and a 100 percent defect detection system.
