If you want to try out different nail styles, whether that means experimenting with press-ons or embracing nail art, nail subscription boxes are the easiest ways to make that happen regularly. Perhaps you’re over going to the nail salon, or maybe you want to make sure you love your wedding nails before the "big day": No matter what you’re looking for mani-wise, these nail subscription boxes will simplify your life in a serious way. Here we rounded up the best nail subscription boxes.

Why We Chose It: ORLY is a beloved professional brand that offers vegan polishes and seasonal items, as well as new polishes.

As a family-owned business with headquarters in Los Angeles, ORLY uses vegan, cruelty-free products and was the first to offer a 13-free formula (free of 13 toxic chemicals).

Now, ORLY offers Color Pass, a quarterly nail polish subscription box that offers new collections for half off along with bonus items. Each Color Pass box comes with fun seasonal items, as well as new nail polish, additional products, deluxe samples, and exclusive discounts.

ORLY Color Pass is quite popular and sells out quickly, likely because more people are doing at-home manis. Since 2020, Color Pass memberships have grown more than 600%, and ORLY expects subscriptions to increase by 100%, according to the brand’s publicist.

Color Pass costs around $36 quarterly or about $119 a year.

Why We Chose It: Nailboxy is the best option if you want to experiment with nail art. The service sends you glitter, charms, tweezers, and more interesting accessories.

Every month Nailboxy sends between five to 10 full-sized nail products, which could include cuticle oil, nail art products, foil strips, or even an LED lamp. The products are all meant to help you create unique nail art designs, with options like glitter, crystals, and charms. It’s also easy to learn techniques with Nailboxy's online community where subscribers share pictures of their designs with others and post tutorials.

To get a sense of what to expect, the June box had 11 items, including a nail art organizer, pixie crystal caviar beads, gold heart studs, neon candy beads, charms, tweezers, paper flowers, metallic foil, holographic glitter, and more.

Boxes cost about $30 per month with free U.S. shipping. Once you subscribe, your subscription date will renew on the same day you signed up monthly, unless you skip, pause, or cancel.

Why We Chose It: Clutch Nails provide fun, neutral press-on nails that look natural and are easy to apply.

After she realized there was a lack of press-on nails available, Alexandra Tonks founded Clutch Nails in her college apartment back in 2017. Now, the brand is available at Target.

Clutch Nails are by far one of the easiest options: An artistic eye isn't necessary and you can do your mani quickly without waiting for your nails to dry. While the press-ons are extremely long, they’re easy to cut and file down. Plus, they come in trendy shapes, including square and coffin, if you want to channel your inner Kardashian.

The brand also offers its Clutch Club, a subscription service where you can either get one nail kit monthly for about $8 or two nail kits monthly for around $15. Choose the length you want or say you're “open to any length,” so it will make it easy to get it delivered and apply. If a few fall off, Clutch sends extras in the package, so you can glue them on easily. Some of the more neutral options include Pink Ombre, Greek Goddess, or Natural Nude, which are all perfect for your wedding weekend. But if you want something Bachelorette Party-ready, options like Electric Blue, Ride or Die, or Hot Girl Stunner may be ideal.

You can reuse the nails Clutch Club sends up to five times and they fit all hand sizes. To remove the nails, simply soak them in warm, soapy water for about 20 minutes until they loosen before carefully lifting them. When applying the nails, you can choose the short wear option which lasts one to three days, or the long-wear option that lasts up to two weeks if you’re ready for a commitment. And not to worry: The kits include nails and glue.

Why We Chose It: Maniology is a Hawaii-based company that has a big Instagram following and offers nail stamping products and nail care kits.

If you're looking for nail stamping and nail care kits, Maniology, an e-commerce company based in Oahu, Hawaii, delivers. The service offers a Mani X Me Monthly Club subscription box offers two exclusive stamping plates and two coordinated polishes. It’s about $25 for a monthly subscription, around $22 for three months, approximately $67 for every three months, or around $120 for every six months.

Another easy option is the Mani x Me Monthly Club Express Kit, which is a smaller monthly subscription kit that comes with two exclusive stamping plates, free U.S. shipping, and one surprise gift. The colorful kits, which are about $18 per month, $43 for three months, or $92 for six months, are made to encourage subscribers to embrace self-expression. Previous nail stamping kits included a pirate ship, stained glass, and holographic shard glitter, making it one of the most creative options.

Maniology also offers printed how-tos to give yourself the perfect manicure every time and Facebook Lives with real-time tutorials. Members also get access to early sales and new product launches.

My Mani Box by Beautometry

Why We Chose It: My Mani Box offers something a little different: nail stamping with a monthly theme, so you can create your own nail art easily.

Founded by Therese Vogel in 2012, Beautometry brings cool, international brands stateside. And with Beautometry's My Mani Box, the service offers a monthly subscription box with different themes and nail stamps. This box is best for people who want exciting, colorful nails, as opposed to simple, neutral tones.

It’s easy to opt-out of a certain theme isn't up to your alley since the company announces the theme on the 20th of each month, and then boxes ship on the last week of each month. Customers can either purchase a one-month box for around $35, a three-month box for around $100, a six-month box for approximately $190, or a yearly subscription, for about $360. There is a flat rate of $5 shipping each month to the U.S.

Why We Chose It: 7TRUE is an ideal option for people looking for vegan, nontoxic products, who want a more natural manicure.

If you're looking for great value and an even greater selection of nontoxic polishes, 7TRUE is ideal. Subscribers receive boxes every three months with a new, seasonal collection of nail polishes worth about $60, and a yearly subscription is roughly $150. If you prepay your subscription, you’ll get one season free. The Spring Collection Box included Fuschia, tan, yellow, matte finish topcoat, a nail bag for new subscribers, and more.

With 7TRUE, it was also important for its co-founders Maria Pantaleoni, Miriam Brocherom, and Paula Sandoval to make a difference beyond their nontoxic products. So when you purchase their products, you'll also be giving back. The company has partnered with organizations and charities like the American Cancer Society to donate proceeds from purchases.

When it comes to nail subscription boxes, choosing one will really depend on what you're looking for. ORLY Color Pass is the best option if you want to work with nail polish that you’ve used before and want a salon-quality manicure. Nailboxy is best if you’re interested in super creative nail art. Clutch Nails is perfect if you want a polish-free, super-easy look. For nail stamps and more creative nail art offerings, look to Maniology and My Mani Box by Beautometry. You’ll definitely get to flex your artistic prowess when working with those boxes. And, if you’re interested in vegan products and want something a bit more natural, 7TRUE is your best bet.

Nail subscription boxes are memberships that offer nail polish and manicure-related products regularly. While frequency will vary by company, but you can expect subscription boxes to generally be offered as one-, three- or six-month memberships.

The items in a nail subscription box usually depend on which one you choose. For instance, ones with press-ons likely won't come with any polish. But nail art-focused subscriptions will usually come with polish options, too. Often subscription boxes will contain glitter, beads, charms, nail stamp kits, and even pouches for your polish.

Nail subscription boxes can cost anywhere from around $8 monthly (for Clutch Nails' press-ons) to about $150 a year for regular deliveries. It depends on what you’re receiving. Boxes that come seasonally, monthly, or simply with more products like nail polish and other design tools tend to be pricier.

First, we asked beauty experts to recommend their favorite nail boxes. Then, we researched a variety of options to include press-on nails, nail stamps, polish colors, and boxes that focus on nail art, while highlighting both neutral nails and colorful, creative options. Considering a range of budgets was also important in determining what made it onto this list.
