Buckingham Palace is on the hunt for an ambitious personal assistant to help support the royal family in their official duties — and there's still time to apply.

The fixed-term role, which will start in January 2021 and finish in January 2023, is part of the central team in the private secretary's office, which helps to ensure that all members of the royal family attend their appointments on time.

In a fast-paced environment, the role requires someone who has a willingness to help others, attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and good computer skills, too. It's also worth knowing that the right candidate will be working as part of a team, so you'll need experience liaising with people at all levels.

Working for Her Majesty will, of course, come with many pressures, so the right person will need to "rise to the challenge" and be "proud of the part they play". Think you could be fit for the role?

The job description says: "It's feeling inspired to deliver to the very highest standards, and it's supporting The Royal Family in their official duties. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

"With a proactive approach, you'll work efficiently with initiative and minimal direction, remaining calm and organised even when under pressure."
